Conventions, Pax / Unplugged
WOW! We had such a blast at PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia last weekend. We had our names on a wait list for a vendor spot, and two weeks ago, we got an email that a booth was available. Talk about luck! It was non-stop fun and demos at our booth – and then we ran a few games in the amazing Open Play area until midnite!
It was SO great seeing some of our friends and fans from PAX East (Boston); we hadn’t attended that con in a couple years, but they came and found us in Philly! One fan recounted how she’s been trying to find us ever since she playtested PITTSBURGH 68 on our prototype Shuffle Board. She kept looking for that “zombie game with the drive-in movie screen”. So much fun catching up with other folks who played with us at prior PAX events. Such a good time!

Conventions, Gary Con
My events have been submitted for Gary Con X (March 2018). Now in its tenth year, Gary Con is held in honor of Gary Gygax in Lake Geneva, WI (the place where the Gygax family lived, the first Gen Con was held, and TSR (the publisher of D&D) was based). It’s a convention celebrating a “life well-played”.
Below is a sneak peek at the WEGS Old Skool Fantasy events that have been submitted so far. A few Shuffling Horror events are snuck in there, too. WEGS event blurbs follow.

THE WEGS OLD SKOOL BLURBS
Elf. Dwarf. Magic-User. Thief. (BOSS RULES)
Full-throttle dungeon fun with the BOSS (Basic Old Skool System). The BOSS pays homage to Holmes Edition style adventure. We start by rolling up characters and then heroically set forth to the dungeon! Honed for simple, fast-paced play, the BOSS rules are a bare bones version of WEGS Old Skool Fantasy RPG. Great system intro. No XP required. Stirge repellant recommended.
The Caves of Utter Chaos (BOSS RULES)
You’ve heard of the Caves of Chaos, perhaps? Well, these are the caves below those caves that nobody dares enter. Get ready for all-out dungeoncrawling fun with the BOSS (Basic Old Skool System). Full-blown heroes will be created in minutes and then we enter a dungeon brimming with terrible foes, nasty traps, and treasure galore. Great system intro. No XP required. Don’t forget those iron spikes!
Tomb of Utter Horror (WOSF)
Fresh meat welcome. Are you destined to be just another stain on the floor in this demented romp into a Demi-Lich’s tomb? Or have you got what it takes to avoid the insane traps, battle grisly guardians, and escape with the loot??!? Come join our little tomb-plundering expedition to find out. Rules taught. The GameWick Gang had a blast shuffling the horror at Gen Con 2017! It was a non-stop, sci-fi double feature for us as we introduced players to the thrills of our new outer space invasion game, ROSWELL 51, and the classic chills of our shambling zombies in PITTSBURGH 68. Gen Con, Pittsburgh 68, Roswell 51
Don’t miss your chance to play with GameWick Games at Gen Con this week (Aug 17- 20). Boy, have we got a whole bunch of fun planned for our friends and fans! Two flavors of Shuffling Horror await: join us for some cult classic Pittsburgh 68 zombie horror, or check out our new release, Roswell 51, a 1950s sci-fi alien invasion B-movie. Both games are available for purchase at our booth, too (#3018 – click here for map to our booth.)
=> All Shuffling Horror games are two hours (or less). PG-13 Rating. Simple rules, all explained!
=> All events held at HALL C, Orange tables, #1 – #3 (just look for our banners). A very short walk to the Exhibit Hall.
=> Here’s a quick list to our events via the Gen Con High Programmer, this shows available tickets/seats.
***Important Note*** All of our events are multi-table; while an event may be open to 12 or 18 players, this is NOT a 12 or 18 player game. There will be six players per table. Don’t let the large player count scare you!!!
