The Turdragon Trove Roll (2018)

November 22nd, 2018

It’s the great rolling of the turdragon trove! There are six different trove tables in the never-released Odds & Gods Volume I guide : Armour Trove, Weapon Trove, Minor Trove, Major Trove, and Massive Trove. Someday we’ll get  that mighty tome finished, but in the meantime, here’s one randomly generated item from each of the aforementioned tables. Get stuffed on these!FB-Trove-Roll-77

Armour Trove : Helmet, Medium, +4 ARM%

Weapon Trove : War Hammer +2 WS

Loot Table : Mystic Potion, Blessed Warrior

Minor Trove : Bow of Quickening (Magic) Short bow.
4 charges per day. Each charge allows automatic fire action. No aim required.

Major Trove : Dimvault Bracers (Magic) +2 RS.
+12 INV%, enchanted (spell protection)
SPS charges per day. A charge allows either (a) night sight, (b) decrease foe’s invulnerability by 40%, or (c) enchant arrow with ethereal damage (2d6 x 4).

Massive Trove : Rod of Retribution (Mystic)
Requires 88% Grace to wield. +4WS damage to struck foes.
If attack roll is equal/less than wielder’s SPS, foe’s armour suffers 2d6 damage.
SPS Charges per day. A charge can be spent to either (a) inflict (d6 x SS) mystic fire damage to foe, or (b) all enemies within 4 SQR suffer (d6 x d6) enchanted mystic wounds. SS = spoints spent; the wielder uses their own spoints to power the weapon’s damage.

GameWick’s Fright Night at The Colonial: The Fog

November 12th, 2018

Come join us for some thrills and chills as GameWick Games sponsors our first Fright Night movie at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, PA. The movie is John Carpenter’s The Fog, and this is the digitally restored version of that 1980 creeper. We love it even more because it has a little of its own Innsmouth “accursed seaside town” vibe going on. And… there’s even rumor that the Midnite Shuffler will be making an appearance!

If you are thinking about joining us, please send us an email. We have a limited number of complimentary tickets set aside for our friends and fans!

What makes this night even more special is that the Colonial is the “Healthfully Air Conditioned” theatre that was featured in the 1958 horror classic, The Blob! This is the theatre that the blob oozes into from the projection booth, causing that classic “theatre run out” scene that no one can forget!

Final Score : Shuffling Horror Week 2018

November 4th, 2018

Our fifth annual Shuffling Horror Week is in the rearview mirror now, and what a week it was! Games were run all over the place, from NYC to Chicago and a few states in between. All in all, it was a ten game series and the Survivors won a whopping eight games – not a good year for our Directors and Monsters! Here’s some other fun facts:

2018-SH-Halloween-Countdown68–Five different Directors shuffled the horrors: Tracey, Myra, Andy, Donald, and Larry.
–Games were run in four states: NJ, OH, PA, IL.
–The first game in the series was at the Monster Bash Convention in Mars, PA. Appropriately, it was a Roswell 51 game and an alien victory!
–Four games were run by Tracey Puckett and the Dungeons & Coffee crew in Ohio and featured a couple of deck mash-ups! One was a P68/R51 combo called “The Plan 9 Initiative”, and also one the featured our Santa Vs The Space Invaders deck (with Elvis in a special guest appearance).2018-SH-Halloween-51-Countdown
–Two of the craziest combos reported were The Business Man with The BB Gun (in the Plan 9 Santa mash-up) and The Farmer with The Ray Gun (in the War of the Worlds game run in Grover’s Mill).
–6 out of 10 games ended with a Last One Standing finale. These survivors were: The Robot, The WAC, The Reporter, The Business Man, The Housewife, and The Sheriff.

In every single Last One Standing scenario, the survivor prevailed! What are the odds of that?!?

Are the survivors and players starting to get wise to our monsters’ terrifying tactics?!? Fear not, Directors – next year we will have some Deep Ones in the mix (INNSMOUTH 32 will be released) as well as some other surprise thrills and chills we have in the works!

Thank you to all the Directors and Players who joined us for this series!

We couldn’t do it without you! See you next year…
