GameWick is Going to GaryCon 2014

February 3rd, 2014
Conventions, Gary Con, News

GameWick Games is attending our first GaryCon this March. The convention is held in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, the birthplace of Dungeons & Dragons! In its sixth year, GaryCon honors the memory of the father of role-playing games, E. Gary Gygax. Lake Geneva is also the place where the first Gen Con was held by Gary (1968) and the place where he established TSR (Tactical Studies Rules), the publisher of D&D. The first 1000 copies of Dungeons and Dragons hit the streets in 1974, so this year marks the 40th anniversary of the game’s first printing!

We are very excited to be making this pilgrimage to the fabled land where it all began. To celebrate, we will be running two of Gary’s greatest dungeon creations: Keep on the Borderlands and Descent into the Depths of the Earth. For all you Old Skool-ers out there, you are probably well aware of the dangers that await in these classic dungeon modules. As we are running these with the WEGS Old Skool system, there’s no telling where these adventures will take us!

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store, folks!

Play WEGS!

Our full event list for GaryCon will be posted this week,

but it is already live on the GaryCon website, located here).
