Dice Hog Day
Here at GameWick HQ, February 3 is Dice Hog Day (the day after those other famous hogs makes their prediction). Early this morning (well not too early because the Dice Hog likes his sleep), our groggy-but-fun-loving dice hog crept out of his hole, dice in hand and ready to roll!
As tradition goes, the Dice Hog tosses a pair of dice into the frosted terrain (this year we’re a bit light on the frost and snow as you can see in the pic). This dice roll predicts just how long winter is going to last. However, there are some house rules:
1. Dice must stay where they land for seven days, untouched.
2. When there is no snow on them whatsoever, none, the dice result is multiplied by two. However, two special rules apply to this result (it wouldn’t be very GameWicky if we didn’t have some “hot numbers”):
Snake Eyes (1,1) – Winter is officially over and you can put the snow shovels away immediately.
Boxcars (6, 6) – Uh Oh! There’s probably more snow coming. Bring dice back inside and wait for next storm. Then repeat process as if it is Feb 3 all over again.
The Dice Hog is heading back to his hoggy-hole now. Stay tuned for our official results in seven days!!!

Dice Hog Day
This morning the Dice Hog hastily threw on his winter cap and ran out to find his dices (it’s been a week since he threw them out into the snow on Dice Hog Day). No snow was found on the dice, or anywhere near them (they must harness some type of weird solar energy).
As per the rules (found here), no snow on the dice means that they are ready to be read. This year’s results were 3 and 6. Multiplied together gives us 18 more days of winter ahead here at our top secret NJ gaming facility.
Winter ends on Feb 28.

Dice Hog Day
Now that the groundhog has finished his silly business, let’s show him how you really roll out winter. Here at GameWick HQ, we celebrate Dice Hog Day on February 3rd, and we have our own peculiar method for predicting the end of winter.
On Dice Hog Day, we toss a pair of dice into the frosted terrain outside our door. When the snow finally melts, we go out and find them. The result of the dice roll predicts just how long winter is going to last. Of course, we have some house rules for how to play along…
1. Dice must stay where they land for seven days, untouched.
2. When there is no snow on them whatsoever, none, the dice results are multiplied by two. However, two special rules apply:

If you cannot find your dice at all, chances are you have a groundhog nearby who will have none of this nonsense going on in his domain. Good luck getting them back!

Here at GameWick HQ, we celebrate Dice Hog Day on February 3rd. We’ve started our own little tradition for winter prediction by tossing a pair of dice into the frosty wasteland outside our door. When the snow finally melts, we go out and find them. The result of the dice roll predicts just how long winter is going to last. Of course, we have some house rules for how to play along…
1. Dice must stay where they land for seven days, untouched.
2. When there is no snow on them whatsoever, none, the results are read as follows:
Snake-eyes: Woo Hoo! Winter is officially over and you can put the snow shovels away.
Boxcars (two sixes): Uh Oh! There’s probably more snow coming. Bring dice back inside and wait for next storm. Then repeat process as if it is Feb 3 all over again…
All Other Results: Multiply the dice total by 2. This is the number of days until spring.
And that’s how we roll out winter in these parts…
